Yoga ClassesYOGA
Yoga originated in India centuries ago and is popular now throughout the world. At Fitness Revolution, there are several styles of hatha yoga offered by instructors with different training backgrounds. All instructors welcome everyone to any class and can modify each practice as needed.

ASHTANGA YOGA
Intermediate to advanced levels
Taught by Carrie, this is the original Vinyasa (flow) class and it offers the same sequences practiced by Ashtanga students throughout the world, beginning with centering and Sun Salutations A and B.

KID’S YOGA
Taught by Genie, this teaches children basic yoga poses through a fun process of music and creative yoga games. Classes include music, storytelling, dance, anatomy, educational topics, introduction to healthy food choices, team work and an appreciation for the earth.

KRIPALU YOGA
Gentle, appropriate  for beginner to intermediate levels
Taught by Kathie, Maria and Melissa, this is a “compassionate” yoga practice in the tradition of the training offered at Kripalu Center in Lenox. Creative application of breath work with postures invites self-exploration.

MODERATE FLOW  
Appropriate for intermediate levels
Taught by Carrie, this offers a creative application of postures and breath to raise your energy and explore your “edge.”

POWER YOGA (Baptiste Style)
Challenging, appropriate for intermediate to advanced levels
Taught by Lisa, follows the same challenging sequence developed by Baron Baptiste as practiced in his studios worldwide.

Taught by Rosie, offers a creative application of postures and breath with special attention to modifications for beginners.

YOGA MINI WEEKLY WORKSHOP
All levels welcome, appropriate for beginners
Taught by Carrie, is a 3-part class with attention to therapeutic breathing and balance, with light hand weights and ab work. Bring your yoga questions and Carrie will workshop them for you.

RESTORATIVE YOGA
Gentle, appropriate for beginner to intermediate levels
Taught by Kathie, it follows Lasiter's "Relax & Renew" sequence . We will practice5 or 6 poses supported by mats, bolsters, blankets, and straps. Among others, we'll include supported Bridge, Mountain Brook, Bound Angle, Legs Up The Wall, and twists while focusing on mindful breathing. Join us fo this wonderful hour of "just being" not doing.

BODY SCULPT
Challenging, appropriate for intermediate to advanced levels
Taught by Rebecca, is an intense workout preformed with 30 minutes of cardio on the Bosu. Rhythmic movements increase heart rate and add elements of fun, stabilization, balance challenge and specific transfer to daily movement needs. Challenging abdominal and back work is also done on the Bosu. Free weights are used to strengthen and tone the arms and upper body.

CIRCUIT
Challenging, appropriate for intermediate to advanced levels
Taught by Leslie and Mike , is a class for women and men in which you will be led in a variety of training circuits incorporating Cardio, Plyometrics, Weight Training and Core and Abdominial work . Offered Tuesday PM and Thursday PM

LET’S GROOVE
All levels welcome
Taught by Raegan, a low-impact cardio class incorporating Latin, R&B, and Swing dance steps.  Let’s dance up a sweat and have some fun!

MAT PILATES
All levels welcome
Taught by Rebecca and Jess, improves mental and physical well-being. It increases flexibility and circulation. It sculpts the body and strengthens the core muscles, your “powerhouse”. Through consistent practice, you will achieve better alignment, improve muscle tone and strengthen and lengthen your entire body. It is easy on joints and is appropriate for all levels of participation. Success through mat work reminds us that our bodies can achieve fitness using simply our own body weight and gravity.

Physioball ClassPOWER ABS / PHYSIOBALL
All levels welcome
Power abs, taught by Leslie, includes a series of full body exercises performed on or with a physioball. This class aims to improve strength in core stabilizing muscles (front and back torso) and legs. Exercises on the physioball also improve balance and coordination. Free weights are incorporated into class to increase arm strengths.

STRONG WOMEN
All levels welcome
Live well, taught by Kathie, is a class for women and men, using free weights and other tools to recreate muscle and bone tissue lost due to the aging process. Age “optimally” not typically, as suggested by the research done by Dr. Miriam Nelson at Tufts University. Strengthens 10 major muscles groups, increase heart health, increase bone density and strengthens functional core strength.

SpinningGENTLE RIDE
Beginners encouraged
Taught by Kathie, a half hour instructional introduction to group cycling.

SPINNING
All levels welcome
Taught by Kathie, Jess, Laney, Mike and Sarah, Whether riding the 6 am express or a full hour class use indoor cycling to improve your heart fitness. Instructors lead interval training rides balancing climbing with flat road pedaling matched to motivational music. Group energy takes over as you explore your cardiac fitness.

BOOT CAMP
Challenging, appropriate for intermediate to advanced levels
With Personal Trainer Andrew Holden. Are you looking for that extra push to reach your fitness goals? This is a 40 minute High Intensity workout involving all aspects of fitness training: high cardio, free weight circuit training, plyometric/isometric body weight exercise. So, if you're stuck in the same old workout routine, here is the challenge you've been waiting for!

KICKBOXING
Challenging, appropriate for intermediate to advanced levels
Taught by Michele, this total body workout uses kicks, punches and plyometrics to increase cardiac stamina and muscular endurance. The hour is completed by 15 minutes of core training and stretching.

KID'S HULA HOOP
Taught by Meghan, this class teaches children basic hula hoop through creative games by using handmade customized hoops that are easier to control and suited for all ages. Hoops are tools for us to further self expression and awareness through movement while building self-confidence and toning & strengthening the body.

NUTRITION WORKSHOPS
Heather Bailey, CNC of the Optimal Kitchen will be conducting weekly Nutrition Workshops.  Topics change weekly and focus on all areas of nutrition from diabetes education to coping with cardiovascular disease to debunking popular food myths.  Questions are welcomed and encouraged.  Taking charge of your health will no doubt benefit from a combination of improvements in both your fitness levels as well as what you feed yourself, and these classes will help you figure out what foods are best for you. 
$5 per class fee for members / $10 for non members
